Bobby Britnell visited us for a workshop on Saturday.
Bobby took us back to basics, drawing simple lines, then extending the exercise to develop some beautiful sketchbook work, based on line.
She also bought along resource books from many famous artists showing how simple forms of line had been incorporated into their work.
Altogether, it was a very relaxing, but informative and enjoyable day.

The title for this year's Chairman's Challenge is:

UPCYCLE AND RECYCLE

Work to be completed by, and displayed at our AGM in September 2020. 
Work to be no bigger than A2 please. 3d items a reasonable size (and clothing will be expected to be modelled!).
Any money raised will be donated to The Alzheimer’s society.

We were entertained this month by the amazingly funny but extremely knowledgeable Janet Stain, who gave us a talk on the history of knickers, from Elizabethan times to the present day.
​She also bought along a suitcase full of examples of the type of underwear our ancestors would have worn.
